Thanks to everyone for making Fast Pitch ‘26 a success! We’ll see you on Tuesday, April 13, 2027 at Malcolm X College for Fast Pitch ‘27!

Fast Pitch’s 10th anniversary was a celebration of community, connection and impact. A record-breaking 300+ guests joined us in person, with another 70+ attending virtually, to support 10 incredible nonprofit leaders from across Chicago’s South and West Sides. Together, we reached our aspirational goal of $100,000 in audience donations—and with an additional $50,000 in unrestricted funding from SVP Chicago, these organizations secured a record $150,000 in total support.

This investment goes far beyond funding. Fast Pitch creates visibility, builds networks, and opens doors to new funders, board members, partners, and champions for leaders who are closest to community needs, yet too often overlooked by traditional philanthropy. It also creates something just as important: hope—a reminder of what’s possible when bold ideas meet a community willing to act with intention. As Fast Pitch enters its next decade, we know this event is not a finish line — it’s the starting point for lasting relationships, deeper engagement and meaningful action across to Chicago.

Big Thanks to Sean McGill Photography for capturing Fast Pitch 2026!

Fast Pitch FAQ

Quilen Blackwell, President & Co-founder, Chicago Eco House –Fast Pitch 2021

“Participating in SVP Chicago’s Fast Pitch changed how we talk about our organization. Working with my coaches, I was able to crystalize our messaging to go beyond talking about the programs and, instead, focus on telling our story more broadly.

The program also gave me access to SVP’s network of partners which has led to pro bono organization building support and more. This helped us to gain national media coverage on the Today Show, 60 Second Docs, Steve Harvey on Watch, New York Times, Forbes, and many others. Furthermore, our revenue has grown significantly from the time we started the program to now, which I attribute to our improved messaging. While the program is a time commitment, the value I received and continue to receive was well worth it.”
