Priya Bhasin (professionally known as Dr.Kumthekar) is a physician board-certified in both neurology and neuro-oncology and uses her expertise to treat both primary brain tumors and secondary brain metastases at Northwestern University. 

Beyond her passion for patient care, Priya is a national leader in translational and clinical trials to advance the science and ultimately advance the care of patients with brain tumors and often speaks at national/international conferences and meetings on her research.  Given her expertise, Priya also consults with many small and large biotech companies in the areas of diagnostic, drug and device development in neuro-oncology and aids in their respective clinical trial development and FDA interface.

Prior to joining the Northwestern faculty, Priya completed both her neurology residency and neuro-oncology fellowship at Northwestern where she also served as neurology chief resident.  Priya also enjoys her time staying active and running not only in races like the Chicago Marathon, but after her two boys who keep her busy.
