Leslie Yerger

Leslie is a Tedx speaker, author of Probably Benign, and founder of www.MyDensityMatter.org. Leslie was diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer in November 2017 after an ‘all clear’ mammogram and ultrasound, experiencing firsthand the failings of our current breast cancer screening technologies. She is now determined to advance the next generation in breast cancer screening, so that her story does not become your story. She speaks, writes, and collaborates with other organizations to empower women everywhere to ask, learn, insist, and persist to get the breast cancer screening they deserve.

Leslie is former chair of board at Love INC Lake County Southwest serving those in need in Lake County, Illinois.  She is also a certified life coach and has worked as manager of product development at DEK Printing Machines in England, as well as global product manager at Carrier Air Conditioning in Syracuse, NY.

Leslie has earned two undergraduate degrees in industrial management and computer science from Purdue University, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She lives in Hawthorn Woods, Illinois, with her husband, John. She enjoys walking, reading, traveling, and spending time with her three adult children.
