Erik Harmon

Erik Harmon is the director of commercial outreach for the Cook County Assessor’s office. Most recently he was chief administrative officer for Primo Center, which provides unconditional shelter and trauma-informed care to homeless mothers and children.  

Erik has deep experience in strategy, operations, and marketing across multiple industries. Previously Erik served as the executive director of the Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce where he led the chamber’s economic development efforts. He has also served as deputy director of the City of Chicago’s Innovation Delivery Team where he was responsible for several initiatives focused on improving the experience and opportunities for small businesses in the City of Chicago.  Erik was previously the senior budget analyst at the Chicago Public Schools (CPS), the director of operations for a supplementary insurance provider, did product marketing for Electronic Arts and PepsiCo, and executed retail strategy for Sears Holdings.

Additionally, Erik has served on the board of directors for The Enterprising Kitchen, a Chicago nonprofit that helped women gain skills to enter the workforce.

He earned a MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the California State University, Dominguez Hills.
