Debbie Nutley

Debbie Nutley is an accomplished leader who retired from a career in the legal and human resources professions to pursue more creative and purpose-driven endeavors. Debbie’s career began as an attorney in private practice with an employment and labor law specialty.  Eventually she moved to a corporate environment and expanded beyond law into human resources management. Debbie capped this phase of her career as chief human resources officer with CNA Insurance.

Debbie is currently a mindfulness meditation teacher certified by Dharma Moon/Tibet House and Chill Anywhere. She is the author of an award-winning children’s mindfulness book, Pengwee’s Breath. Debbie is an angel investor and honored to mentor and advise purpose driven-leaders in the nonprofit, start-up and social venture spaces. 

A lifelong learner, Debbie has a Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law and a bachelor of science in biology from Arizona State University. She also has certifications from Northwestern University (executive scholars), University of Michigan (executive human resources) and National Chenchi University in Taipei (Asian study). Currently, Debbie enjoys the study of the brain, mind, and consciousness. She is an engaged student of mindfulness and Buddhism with Dharma Moon.
